Hello World! Processing
This video brought up a lot of very interesting points about how coding and computer technology can and does fit into the natural world. One example that was used was how, with this method of coding, an artist can end up in a very different place than where they started. By allowing yourself to be less precious with the work, to keep trying little things and seeing how they turn out, an artist can discover a multitude of different ideas that they wouldn't have originally thought of. This is directly related to the work we are doing in this course because at least once a class period I hear Barry say, "Only work on one thing at a time. Try something, check what it looks like, and adjust as needed." By giving yourself that type of freedom to play around with the code you are working on, your results can be more dynamic and original than you could have possibly imagined.
